Custer State Park

Custer State Park, located near Custer South Dakota, isn't just home to one of the largest free-roaming buffalo herds; it's so beautiful that the State Game Lodge served as the "summer White House" for President Calvin Coolidge in 1927. Four distinct lodges offer accommodations to suit every family, from rustic and historic to elegant and upscale. All offer unique on-site activities, including Jeep rides to the buffalo herds, guided fly-fishing, and chuckwagon suppers. There are also endless camping opportunities in the park. French Creek Horse Camp even has corrals for campers with horses.
